Day 1: La Paz – Rurrenabaque – Pampas
Departure at 9 am. Tree hours 4x4 drive trough the unpaved road the Pampas,
passing Santa Rosa del Yacuma, then a short boat ride inside the Yacuma River
Municipal Reserve until Caracoles Lodge. Lunch and short siesta or rest. Mid-afternoon
boat ride to see the Pampas wildlife that is easily seen and photographed.
The best time will be the dry season due that river margins show numerous capybaras,
turtles, and maybe anacondas warming their bodies or hunting.
Guaranteed views of the pink dolphin, black caiman, monkeys and numerous birds.
Return to the lodge.
Day 2: Pampas
Right after breakfast, a 3 or 4-hour walk through the Pampas in search of
the mighty Anaconda starts.
Guides could also show you black and white caimans.
Back to the lodge for lunch. After a rest, the tour continues with a boat ride
in the Yacuma River to see piranhas or swim playful Pink Dolphins. Back
to the lodge. Night boat ride in search of the alligators, caimans and other
nocturnal fauna.
Day 3: Pampas – Rurrenabaque
Another morning boat ride to find troops of squirrel monkey which uses to
travel over the vegetation and canopies in large numbers. The Pampas is also
home of two other primates, the black and Red howler Monkey.
Back to the lodge for lunch before the transfer back to the 4x4 which takes
you back to Rurrenabaque. Arrival time around 5 pm.

other rainforest tours Chalalan Ecolodge, San Miguel Ecolodge or Mapajo Ecolodge.
